Please note that our service offers, such as use of the restaurant and of the Valsana Spa, daily room cleaning and free fitness courses are only offered during the summer and winter season. These services are not available during the off-seasons, when only the apartments are open and the hotel is closed.
Safety measures in our hotels
To prevent a further spread of COVID-19 and risk of infection and to ensure that you feel comfortable in our hotels, we are adhering to certain measures in line with Federal Office of Public Health guidelines. We would like to inform you of these before you arrive. If you have felt unwell in the ten days before your arrival or if you have experienced any of the following acute symptoms: cough, sore throat, shortness of breath with or without fever, feeling feverish, loss of taste and/or aching limbs, please contact your GP and do not come and stay with us. We will be happy to move your reservation to a later date. Please contact our Reservations team by telephone.
Local test options
If you need a current PCR test or an antigen test for your return journey or re-entry into your home country, we will be happy to help you organise this with our local medical partners.

Guarantee and cancellation policy
Please note that we need your credit card details to guarantee your booking. Be assured that we will not charge your credit card. It simply serves as a guarantee for your booking or as a guarantee until the advance payment reaches our account. An advance payment on the total amount is due immediately upon booking for non-refundable rates and packages.
- Your reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 15 days before you arrive during the winter season. We will then charge 100% of the total booked price. This also applies to no-shows and delayed arrivals or early departures.
- Your reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before you arrive during the summer season. We will then charge 100% of the total booked price. This also applies to no-shows and delayed arrivals or early departures.
- A special cancellation policy applies over the festive period.
Christmas / New Year
New Year's Eve bookings are subject to a minimum stay of seven nights. Your reservation for the festive period can be cancelled free of charge before 1 September 2021; an advance payment of the total amount is due on 1 September 2021. If the all-in package is cancelled after 1 September 2021, the hotel reserves the right to charge 50% of the complete price of the package. In the case of cancellations after 15 November 2021, 100% of the offer will be charged. An advance payment of 100 % of the cost of the room is due on 1 September 2021.
Swiss school holidays: 12 - 19 February 2022
A minimum stay of seven nights applies to bookings from 12 to 27 February 2022. Your reservation can be cancelled free of charge up to 21 days before you arrive. If we receive a cancellation from 20 days before the arrival date onwards, we will charge 100% of the booked price of the offer.
Cancellation policy for COVID-19
If, after you have made a definitive booking, the Swiss government or the government of your country of origin imposes travel restrictions to or from Switzerland for reasons relating to COVID-19 (travel bans, border closures, or imposition of quarantine measures), you may cancel your booking free of charge. If you have already made an advance payment, you have the choice of either having this reimbursed or having it held as credit for future bookings.
If you develop symptoms of a respiratory disease, please do not travel to the hotel and instead contact our Reservations team by telephone.
General cancellation policy

Arrival & departure
Your room will be available to you from 3 pm on the day of your arrival and until midday on the day of your departure.
If you arrive early or leave late, our Front Office team will be happy to look after your luggage for you.

Dine around / Half-board
In our restaurant we serve daily dinner specials based on fresh seasonal produce at an additional charge of CHF 60.00 per person (*) / evening, excluding drinks, when booked in advance for the whole stay. (*) Children up to the age of 11 years are welcome to order à la carte from our children's menu.
As an alternative to our restaurant, we can offer you the restaurants in our sister hotel, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, as a dine around option. Depending on the restaurant, we will serve you a two- to five-course menu. Further courses are available at an additional charge. This does not apply on New Year's Eve.
Please note that, given the current situation, dine around bookings with the Tschuggen Grand Hotel are unfortunately not possible until further notice.
Children & adolescents
We will be happy to prepare our sofa beds for you in the Junior Suite room category and above. We charge CHF 97.00 per person for an additional adult; children up to and including three years of age can stay free of charge and we provide a free cot in every room category. We charge CHF 45.00 per child and night for children aged between 4 and 11 years.
Access to the wellness area for children & adolescents
Children aged 16 years and above may enter the sauna area. Younger children may not enter, even if they are with their parents.
Children aged 16 years and above may enter the fitness studio. Children aged 12 years and above may enter if they are accompanied by an adult.
Children may enter the swimming pool if they are accompanied by an adult.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome in the Valsana Hotel Arosa and are permitted in the apartments and the Restaurant Twist. We charge CHF 30.00 per dog and night, without food.

Depending on availability, we have a few outdoor parking spaces, which you can book in advance for CHF 18.00 in winter and CHF 10.00 in summer per night and car. Further parking spaces are available by the Obersee lake (outdoor car park, a five-minute walk from the hotel) or in the Ochsenbühl area (public car park in Arosa, a three-minute walk away).
The Valsana Hotel Arosa is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is permitted on the balconies and the sun terrace.
The tenant in the apartment is responsible for taking out the rubbish. There are containers for glass and general waste (only in Arosa rubbish bags) right by the Valsana Hotel Arosa. These Arosa rubbish bags can be purchased individually from the Valsana Reception desk and from the Arosa tourist office, or on a roll from the Coop and Denner supermarkets.
The end-of-stay cleaning costs included in the rental price apply to normal end-of-stay cleaning, i.e. at the end of the stay, the tenant must hand over the apartment in a reasonably clean and tidy condition (which includes taking out the rubbish, washing up, and cleaning the oven). If the apartment is particularly dirty, the tenant is obliged to pay an additional cleaning fee. Hourly rate: CHF 90.00, a minimum of 30 minutes will be charged.
