Good to Know
Please note that our service offers such as use of the restaurant and Valsana Spa as well as daily room cleaning and free fitness classes are only offered during the summer and winter seasons. These services are not offered during the off-seasons, when only the flats are open and the hotel is closed.
If, after you have made a definitive booking, the Swiss government or the government of your country of origin imposes travel restrictions to or from Switzerland for reasons relating to COVID-19 (travel bans, border closures, or imposition of quarantine measures), you may cancel your booking free of charge. If you have already made an advance payment, you have the choice of either having this reimbursed or having it held as credit for future bookings.

Summer season: Your reservation may be cancelled free of charge up to 3 days before arrival. Cancellations made thereafter, no-shows or late arrivals / early departures will incur charges of 100% of the booked arrangement price. We will of course do our utmost to re-let the room so that no charges incur. However, should we be unable to re-let your room, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the arrangement. Special booking and cancellation terms apply for group bookings.
Winter season: The high season cancellation period is 21 days, from the 20th day before arrival 100% of the price will be charged. Group cancellation deadlines are determined individually, depending on size, short notice, effort, etc. Your reservation may be cancelled free of charge up to 15 days before arrival. Cancellations made from day 14 prior to your arrival will incur charges of 100% of the booked arrangement price. We will of course do our utmost to re-let the room so that you incur no charges. However, should we be unable to re-let your room, we reserve the right to charge the full price of the arrangement. Special booking and cancellation terms apply for group bookings.
Once confirmed by the hotel, all reservations must be reconfirmed. Each reservation must also be guaranteed with a credit card or deposit.
Arrival & Departure
Please note that when travelling by train the last short section from Litzirüti to Arosa, will be covered by replacement buses from 12 April to 28 November 2021 due to tunnel works. The departure times remain unchanged.
Your room will be available from 03.00 p.m. on day of your arrival and up to 12.00 noon on day of your departure.
Dinner & Dine around with the Tschuggen Grand Hotel

In our restaurant we serve daily dinner specials based on a fresh seasonal produce at an additional charge of CHF 60 per person(*)/evening, excluding drinks, when booked in advance for the whole stay.

As an alternative to our restaurant, we offer you the restaurants in our sister hotel, the Tschuggen Grand Hotel, as a Dine around option. Depending on the restaurant, we will serve you a two- to five-course menu. Further courses are available at an additional charge. Excluded on New Year's Eve.
The hotel reserves the right to set aside a certain number of rooms for specials. Rooms may therefore no longer be available for the special of your choice. Unclaimed services cannot be reimbursed. The hotel accepts no liability for outside services provided by third parties.
Christmas/New Year's Eve and High Season
For New Year's Eve bookings a minimum stay of seven nights is required.
Well-behaved dogs are welcome on the special hotel floor for dogs and are allowed at the hotels' terrace, costs: CHF 30 per day (excl. dog food). Please click here for further details.

We do not have outdoor parking spaces. Other parking spaces are available at the 'Obersee' (outdoor) and 'Ochensbuehl' park garage.

The Valsana Hotel & Appartements is a non-smoking hotel. Smoking is allowed on our balconies as well as on the sun terrace.
Waste disposal is the responsibility of the apartment user. Disposal moles for glass and garbage (only with Arosa garbage bags) are available next to the Valsana Hotel Arosa. The Valsana Front Office and Arosa Tourism are selling Arosa garbage bags as well as in the supermarket Coop and Denner.
The final cleaning cost included in the rental price covers normal cleaning, i.e. the Hirer must have left the property swept and tidy (Including rubbish taken out, washing up done, oven cleaned). If the property is particularly dirty, the Hirer will be responsible for the additional cleaning cost. Hourly rate CHF 90, with a minimum charge of 30 minutes.
The entrance to the sauna area is allowed for children from 16 years. For younger children have no access even accompanied by an adult.
The entrance to the Valsana Gym is allowed for children from 16 years. Children of 12 years and older are allowed to enter to the gym accompanied by an adult.
